Stan-Cor “MK” Series
Magnetically-driven Sealless Pumps
Design Feature Performance Benefit
Dual Volute The MK4 and MK12 sealless pumps have dual volute casing design which lowers radial bearing loads to provide longer life and allows continuous operation anywhere between 1 M3/H to full flow.

Magnetic Coupling Samarium cobalt magnets provide high torque throughout the temperature operating range -20°F to 250°F (-28°C to 121°C). One magnet coupling assembly fits all sealless pumps. This lowers cost and simplifies inventory. The inner magnet is fully Kynar (PVDF) encapsulated – no weld seams no potential leakage.

Enclosed Impeller and Magnet The impeller and inner magnet is a two-piece, enclosed assembly. When worn, the impeller can be replaced without replacing the magnetic drive which substantially reduces repair cost. Impellers can be trimmed in the field.

Pump Casing The sealless pump casing is constructed of 1/4” (6.35 mm) minimum wall thickness, carbon fiber filled Kynar (PVDF). This is more reliable, without permeation problems commonly found in lined metal casings.

Case and Flange Supports Chemical resistant glass filled vinyl ester composite and glass-filled nylon provides superior performance to painted metal.

Unique Design Proprietary thrust balancing system eliminates axial loads (Patent Pending) to dramatically reduce wear and heat generated from friction. Inner magnet and impeller assembly float axially.

Heat Dissipation Non-metallic Kynar and carbon fiber-braid containment can superior to a metal can design for eliminating heat generated from eddy currents created by alternating flux lines.

Easy Assembly Assembly of sealless pump and motor driver is fast and easy due to the motor shaft in full view and low pump weight.

Chemical Compatibility Kynar (PVDF), Silicon Carbide and o-rings (Viton, EPDM, or Simriz) are the only materials in contact with the pumpage.

Rugged Construction Fine grain “Alfa” silicon carbide for higher strength and more fracture resistance. High grade carbon or glass filled non-metallic components for high strength and chemical resistance. 300 Series stainless steel hardware.

Efficient Installation Back pullout design per ANSI B73.1, does not disturb piping.

Easy Servicing 100% replaceable wear components including: “Alfa” grade silicon carbide sleeve bearings, wear rings, and shaft.
